CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, WHY?

CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP, WHY?

CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP IS A MUST! If you’re a Christian you need to spend time fellowshipping with other believers about your common faith. I believe most Christians know this to be true, and really want to do this. But in reality, we’re not fellowshipping as often as we should be. We’re not fellowshipping at home like God wants us to, and we definitely are not fellowshipping with our brothers and sisters in Christ like we should be.

I’m not trying to bring you down or belittle you for what you’re doing wrong. You personally, may be doing a marvelous job fellowshipping. If you are, I commend you for that, and keep up the perseverance, because It is hard to stick with it! But our Christian body as a whole, I think we can do so much better!

Christian Fellowship is so important!

Christian Fellowshipping impacts us in multiple ways!

It impacts us personally because it connects us to others on a spiritual level. It gives us friendships, connections, and resources when we need it most! It gives us people to turn turn to when we need prayer, help, or when we feel like we can not make it another day, or sometimes another moment!

YOU may be that person that someone else needs to turn to! You may have that prayer or encouraging word that someone needs! You may be able to help that other person in a way that only you can! If you are fellowshipping you will know if someone needs a meal, a hug, a note, money, clothes, food, resources, the list can go on and on. If you are not fellowshipping with other believers you will be missing opportunities to help your brothers and sisters in Christ.

God calls us to fellowship! God knows what we need to make it through this life. He knows that life isn’t always sunshine and roses, and that’s why He wants us to fellowship with other believers. Fellowshipping is in His word, and He gave us His word to follow. It’s up to us if we are going to read it, learn it, share it, and follow it.

CONCLUSION

We need to have Christian fellowship with others and with God. If you join a bible study group follow through to the end. If you have access to a prayer group, take that hour out of your day and make it a priority. Take time each week to encourage at least one other Christian, and most importantly fellowship with the believers that you live with. Teach your children, talk to them about God and faith!
