ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER

ENCOURAGE EACH OTHER

As Christians, we know that we are called to encourage each other. How often do we actually do this? How often should we be doing this?

“but exhort one another daily, while it is called “today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Hebrews 3:13 (NKJV)

EXHORT

Exhort is a stronger word for encourage. It is encouragement with passion. There are many ways we can exhort each other. Here are some cookie cutter answers:

  • Through words of encouragement
    • spoken to them
    • written to them
  • By helping with their needs
    • physically helping them
    • monetary help
    • purchase something for them
  • Prayers
    • with them
    • on your own (but letting them know you are praying)
  • Just listening to them
  • A hug is always encouraging!

There are so many ways to exhort each other.

I don’t think we need to learn how to encourage each other, but rather when.

DAILY

The bible says we need to exhort one another daily. Yes, daily. Each and everyday we should be encouraging another Christian. We need to pray for the Holy Spirit to show us the daily opportunities.

  • At home
  • On Social Media At work
  • At church
  • At work
  • During Social Gathering
  • Running errands

We have many opportunities throughout the day. If you don’t think so, start looking for it. When we partner up with God (Fellowship with God) it will happen.
