Faith, working through love, what does this mean?

Faith, working through love, what does this mean?

Galatians 5:6

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

I wanted to read the chapter in the Bible where it talks about the fruits of the Spirit. I didn’t get past verse 6 of Galatians chapter 5. My mind was filled with questions and thoughts after I read verse 6.

What does faith working through love mean? It sounds great!
Look to scripture for the answer!
To be specific, read further on to Galatians 5:13-15.

Your faith shines and grows when you live out His commandment.
This commandment in Galatians 5:14 is from Jesus, it is to love your neighbor as yourself.

This sounds easy, or does it?

It sounds easy when I am in a good mood, but I am not always happy and cheerful. It’s hard to show my faith, and let my love shine when I am not happy, but Jesus warns us about this in verse 15.

We are warned right here what will happen if we don’t love our neighbors, (living out faith, working through love), we will be consumed by one another.
Do you want to be consumed by people or by God?

If we strive to love our neighbors as ourselves we will see our faith working through love.
