ONE NATION UNDER GOD

ONE NATION UNDER GOD

II Chronicles 7:13-14

It seems like our nation, along with the world, will always have problems. But, does this really have to be the case? Read II Chronicles 7:13-14, and then answer the following questions.

Verse 13

  1. What happened in the Old Testament to where God’s chosen people had to go through those hard times?
  2. What are some things that have happened to us, as a nation, to where we can relate to this verse?

Verse 14

  1. According to this verse who should be reaching out to God?
  2. According to this verse how does God want His people to reach out to Him?
  3. From your answer to question 4, give meanings and example of doing those things.
    • Humbling ourselves
    • Praying
    • Seeking him (other ways than praying)
  4. What last thing does God want us to do? Give examples of how we do this individually and as a nation?
  5. Why does God allow nations to suffer?
  6. What promises does God give us in the end of verses 14? Why is this encouraging?
