How do you find peace in a restless world? We can do many things in our search for a sense of peace, but ultimately peace will only come when we surrender to God and lean on our faith.

P.E.A.C.E. to help us find peace

P – prayer
E – endure
A – active
C – courage
E – enjoy
Putting all of these actions together will help up us find peace. We can pray for peace, God can give us that peace, but it’s up to us keep it.

P is For Prayer

Prayer is so important in our search for peace! Peace comes from God, so we need to have fellowship with the One who gives peace. Psalm 85:8

E is for Endure

Scripture says that we need to endure afflictions. This doesn’t mean we should search for afflictions, but to be watchful for when they come so you can be prepared. We can’t hide from life, and everything it throws at us! II Timothy 4:5

A is to stay active

II Timothy 4:5 tells us that we need to witness and fulfill our ministry. Stay active by using the spiritual gifts that God has given you. Hiding from life prevents peace from entering us.

C is for Courage

We pray, we endure, and we stay active in Christ because we have courage! Psalm 27:14 sums it up. “Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!”

E is for Enjoy

God wants us to enjoy what He has given us and recognize that it came from Him. I Timothy 6:17. “… the Living God, who give us richly all things to enjoy.”

Separately, these are good Christian actions but together they bring us peace. Peace comes when we live by faith, despite the actions of the restless world around us.
