God Revealed

In this bible study, God is revealed in scripture! God is shown through His creation, His written word, what He has done, and through those who have testified of Him.
Mostly used NKJV (also referred to ESV, NIV, NLT)

TRUE OR FALSE

1. Rainbows are a sign, from God, that He will never flood the
   entire earth again…TRUE or FALSE
2. The Bible explains why there are different languages
   throughout the entire world…TRUE or FALSE
3. God never told anyone to write down His words or His

3. Read John 21:24-25. Why didn’t the author of John’s Gospel write
   down everything he knew about Jesus?
4. Read Romans 2:14-15. What proves (bears witness) God’s law is
   written in your heart?
5. Do you think your conscience (ability to know right from wrong)
   is proof you were created by God?

ANSWERS

1. Old Testament / Tablets (ten commandments) / Exodus /
   Deuteronomy (5:6-21), New Testament / Book of John), our
   hearts.
2. God told Moses to write the 10 commandments, they were
   written as a covenant (agreement) between God and his
   people to follow his commandments.
3. There is too much to write about Jesus to write down every
   single thing (enough was written for us to know Jesus died for
   our sins, enough was written to know the testimony of
   everything Jesus did).
4. Our conscience shows us right from wrong (excusing or
   accusing our actions).
5. Yes, even when making sinful choices people don’t normally
   feel good about themselves (freewill is a huge responsibility).

DECLARE

1. Exodus 9:13-14, Why did God send plagues (in Egypt)?
2. Exodus 9:15-16. For what purpose did God raise Pharoah up?
3. Read Deuteronomy 6:6-8. Who is supposed to teach the children (the
   next generation)?
4. Read Psalm 78:2-5. Write down at least 3 things we are supposed to
   teach our children about God.
5. Read Psalm 78:5-8. Write down 4 reasons for teaching God’s law,
   word & commands to our children.
6. Read Matthew 28:18-20. What did Jesus say to do and teach?
7. Read Ephesians 6:4. How are fathers told to raise their children?

ANSWERS

1. So everyone would know there is no one else like God in the
   entire earth.
2. For God’s power to be known throughout the entire earth.
3. Parents (teach them to your children…when you sit in your
   house…when you go to sleep…when you wake up).
4. We are expected to teach our children to Praise God, about
   His strength, and about His power.
5. That they set their hope in God, keep His commandments, are
   not stubborn and rebellious towards God, and to be faithful.
6. Go make disciples of all the nations, baptize people in the
   name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, teach people to live
   how Jesus has commanded.
7. Fathers are told to raise their children in the training and
   instruction of Jesus.

DIFFERENT REACTIONS

1. Read Matthew 27;50-54: What did the centurion and other guards say (vs.
   54) after Jesus died, the veil was torn, the earth quaked, rocks split
   and graves were open?
2. Read John 3:16: What do you have to do to inherit everlasting life?
3. Read 1John 1:7-10: How can you be cleansed from your sins and
   unrighteousness?
4. Read Matthew 28:5-7 & 12-15:​ ​The chiefs priests gave the soldiers money
   to lie. What was the lie and how long did it last?
5. Read Romans 1:18-20: What truth do unrighteous men suppress?
6. Read Psalm 9:17: Why do the wicked and entire nations get turned into
   hell (sheol)? Hint: “all the nations that __ God.”
7. Have you been ignoring God OR have you confessed your sins, to
   be forgiven, to inherit eternal life in Heaven?

ANSWERS

1. Obviously Jesus really is the son of God.
2. Believe in Jesus.
3. Confess your sins to Jesus.
4. Soldiers told everyone Jesus’ body was stolen (so they would
   not get in trouble) and this lie is still believed to this day.
5. The truth that God makes His invisible attributes and eternal
   power plain and clear, for everyone to see, through everything
   He created.
6. They forget God.
7. God wants your answer to be “Yes” to inherit eternal life
