THE WORD WALL

THE WORD WALL

STRENGTHENING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

This post is an example from my life, in hopes of helping you come up with ways of strengthening you and your family spiritually. I took Deuteronomy 6:6-9 to heart, by putting it on my walls, and I call it the word wall.
The word wall is a way to strengthen myself and my family spiritually. As a mom, I felt that there were areas of our spiritual life that we needed reminded of.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

Deuteronomy 6:6-9

FAMILY

We know that Salvation is the greatest blessing. Considering the amount of time we spend on this earth, we need to be able to count on our family. I have this on the wall to remind myself, my husband, and my children how important family is. Families need to support and encourage each other, and simply love each other. Keeping this in mind, reminds us that God blessed us with this family, so we shouldn’t take it for granted.

BLESS THIS HOUSE

This is one of my prayers, because I want Love and Laughter to be felt in this house. I want everyone who comes into this house to feel the love and laughter that God can fill his children with. I want family and friends to feel God’s happiness and not to be constantly weighed down with the burden that this life can bring. Life is hard, a little love and laughter can strengthen you and your family.

PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER

I want my family to remember that we need to pray for each other. Prayer is one way that we can show love, feel blessed and bless each other.

LET GO LET GOD

All to often we dwell on our problems, our worries and tribulations, along with our family member’s problems, worries and tribulations. We need to learn how to let go and give it to God. Giving it to God doesn’t mean to forget about it. It does mean to continue in prayer with a faithful heart, trusting that God will handle it. Also, it means that we will listen to Him, and when He wants us to do something we will. Ultimately, letting it go and giving it to God will give us some peace.

CONCLUSION

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 is God’s example of strengthening you and your family spiritually. If God took the time to tell us this, we really should take it to heart. Be in prayer, fellowshipping with God and your family to figure out the best way you can live out Deuteronomy 6:6-9, to strengthen you and your family spiritually.
